Mens 1940s WWII CC41 X212 Herringbone Wool Overcoat Medium
Made during wartime austerity, this overcoat has the CC41 label and also stipulates X212 as the model/fabric/ration reference. CC41 ('Controlled Commodity') garments were manufactured between 1941-1952. This gents overcoat is made from an incredibly heavyweight wool in a brown and beige herringbone design. Double breasted front, one inside pocket and two front pockets. It is in good vintage condition, just sadly has suffered a few moth holes over the decades. Because of the design, these can only be seen on close inspection so this does not detract from the overall appearance of this fantastic coat. Fully lined and non stretch.
