Something a little different this week as I have picked out some absolutely gorgeous vintage inspired/retro dresses that are perfect for summer. Retro clothing gives us that quirky style and a nod to bygone era complete with a modern twist. The other benefit of buying reproduction and retro fashion is that you have the choice of sizing rather than items being one of a kind.

First up is the Retro Red Cherry Print Mini Dress. This super cute mini dress the the iconic red and black cherry print. The halterneck straps can be adjusted by tying at the back and the shirring elastic on the centre back panel stretches to fit. Zip fastening in the centre back and seams over the bust for shaping. Full circle skirt in a cute shorter length to the knee.
Next we have the cute and fruity Quirky Retro Tutti Frutti Print Mini Swing Dress. This adorable retro mini dress has a black background with a multi coloured fruity print of cherries, lemons, strawberries, oranges and melon slices. Elasticated gypsy style neckline and shoulder. Keyhole neckline with button and loop. There is an empire line seam for a flattering fit. Some stretch and a back zip fastening.
The next dress I picked out simply had to be the stunning Over The Rainbow Swing Dress - it's no secret that I am totally obsessed with this beautiful bright rainbow print dress. Swing dress with a nod to the 50s in that quintessential contemporary style. Adjustable straps and every girl's favourite dress feature - pockets! Fastens with a zip in the centre back. Princess seams on the bodice for shaping and sweetheart neckline. Simply gorgeous!
This next dress is probably the most contemporary and the colour is just beaut, it's the Retro Inspired Green & Pink Tropicana Dress. It's a beautiful and on-trend printed dress in a rich and vibrant mid-tone green. Print is pink silhouettes of tropical flowers & pineapples. Strappy with scoop neckline trimmed with a frilled edge along with contrast pom pom detail. Adustable straps with decorative bows on shoulder and zip fastening down centre back. Total summer vibes.
And last but by no means least, I had to include our adorable Cute Retro Strawberry Print Dress. I love this sweet and printed dress with strawberries and flowers on a black background. Elasticated neck line and shoulders plu elasticated sleeve opening. Keyhole shape at the centre front with cute little button. Seamed under-bust and waist and glorious full circle skirt. Fastens with a back zip. Wear smart or casual, a versatile and oh so pretty must-have. We also have those stunning Strawberry Sandals to match!
Five absolutely perfect summer dresses if you want to feel cool and pretty but also have that quirky and unique edge. Retro dresses are so fun to wear and can also be styled in so many ways. Take any of the dresses above and team with heels, a cute clutch bag and a little cardigan/jacket/pashmina and you are good to go to a wedding or special occasion. For a day to day look just wear with sandals or trainers and a cropped denim jacket - so cute! If you want to be a bit edgier then add some tights, socks or leggings and a pair of DMs with a t-shirt underneath or a leather biker jacket. One simple dress really can do so many different things!
