1 - 1950s Vintage Black Lace Prom Dress UK Size 10 (£85)
Beautiful original 1950s vintage prom dress in classic black. Lace effect top bodice with cinched waist and full skirt with a chiffon overlay and pretty velvet bow at waist. Sheer back panel - there are sadly a few holes and ladders on this part of the dress but this could be replaced or worn with a bolero to hide the damage. Slight stretch to top and overlay, non stretch waist and lining. In good vintage condition overall. Side zip fastening.
2 - 1980s Vintage Black Rouched Sequin Party Dress UK Size 12 (£45)
Elegant vintage evening dress that hugs curves in all the right places. The figure hugging rouched style and sweetheart neckline are super flattering, and the fishtail hem adds a little swish when you move. Beautiful sequinned heart-shape panel at the top in silver and black and skinny straps. Just add heels and a little jewellery for a unique party or prom look. Non stretch slinky fabric with a back zip fastening. In very good vintage condition.
3 - 1980s Vintage Jean Allen Silk Mini Dress Size 12 (£115)
Stunning designer vintage dress from the revered Jean Allen. This pure silk mini dress has voluminous puffy sleeves with a plunge neckline all in bright cerise pink, leading to a short pencil skirt in black. The dropped waist curved paneling creates a beautiful eye catching figure. Non stretch and back zip fastening. There are a few plucks but the stubbed texture of the silk conceals them. Otherwise in very good vintage condition.
4 - Vintage Mauve Chiffon & Feather Evening Dress UK Size 12/14 (£46)
Stunning vintage evening dress that would also be perfect for prom. Mauve chiffon with rouched and boned bodice, fixed waist and full skirt. A petticoat could also be added for even more impact! Adjustable straps can be unhooked and crossed over at the back too. The left shoulder also has the stunning feather detail to complete the look. Non stretch with back zip fastening.
5 - 1960s Vintage Black Lace Cocktail Dress Size 8 (£45)
A classic and beautiful sixties LBD in that killer mini length. Black lace bodice with sheer black chiffon sleeves with deep triple button cuffs. This is so simple and stylish, fastening with a neat back zip. Fully lined and non stretch fabric. On close inspection there is some tearing under the cuffs but this doesn't detract from the overall look as it is covered by the cuffs. In good vintage condition.
So there we have my Fave Five Fabulous Frocks for the party season upon us! Each very different and totally unique but covering many different styles and vintage eras. Like with any vintage dress, you can accessorise and style these with their original vintage counterparts such as vintage shoes, vintage handbags and vintage jewellery - or you can give them a contemporary feel with some modern high street bits. Vintage dresses offer such an amazing and versatile base for styling, the world is your oyster!
