Fave Five - Vintage Skirts

It may have been a chilly start to spring but nonetheless it's still that time of year where we start to tweak our wardrobes a little and add some pieces that haven't seen the light of day since the end of last summer. Spring is a great time to start wearing skirts again if you haven't for a while, whether with or without tights depending on the temperature!

With that in mind, this week I have picked out my Fave Five vintage skirts from those currently available on the website. You can find these and many more amazing vintage dresses in our Vintage Bottoms department but if you see anything here that you love then just simply tap or click on the image to go straight to the product page where you can see more photos and full details. So let's get cracking!

1 - 1980s Vintage Silky Flower Print Midi Skirt UK Size 12/14 £22

We love a midi skirt and this is glorious! Made from a light silky fabric, the classic black background is covered in bright colourful flowers in red, blue, green, yellow and the hemline is a vivid ocean blue colour. Fixed waist with side button and zip fastening. Non stretch polyester material. Just add a colourful roll neck and some boots for a statement look. In very good vintage condition.

2 - 1980s Vintage Cream Rose Print Crepe Pencil Skirt UK Size 10 £26

This pretty vintage pencil skirt has a real Laura Ashley feel to it with its buttermilk base and pink rose print. Made from a luxurious non-stretch crepe fabric with a full lining. Fixed waist with side zip fastening and back vent. A stunning separate for both formal and informal looks.

3 - 1970s Vintage Black Polka Dot & Floral Maxi Skirt Size 14 £26

Wow, this is a super maxi skirt - perfect for wearing with those stacked seventies platforms! Classic black with white polka dots that become more concentrated towards the bottom of the skirt where there is also a pretty and bold floral print in shades of green and pink. Polyester fabric with a slight stretch. Fastens at the back with a zip and button. In very good vintage condition.

4 - Original 1950s Vintage Blue & White Swing Skirt Size 6/8 £35

ark back to the 1950s with this stunning original vintage skirt. Blue and white patterned cotton skirt in high waisted swing style with full button front. Non stretch cotton with fixed waist. Two open diamonds shaped front pockets. In very good vintage condition.

5 - 1970s Vintage Green Pleated Midi Skirt Size 12/14/16 £28

Beautiful vintage pleated midi skirt in a vivid apple green tone. Silky fabric with thick elasticated waistband and decorative button detailing down each side. Stretch waist but non stretch fabric. Can be dressed up with heels, fitted top and belt or dressed down with a baggy sweatshirt and trainers. One small mark but generally in very good vintage condition.

Vintage skirts are such a stylish and versatile purchase. You can team one with a pretty Vintage Top and add a cute belt and a pair of heels for a work or more formal occasion. Or really grunge it up for casual days by tucking in baggy t-shirt or oversized vintage sweatshirt and adding some trainers. There really are so many cute options and I would love to see what outfits you come up with.

Until next time
