Well Halloween and Bonfire Night are out of the way so is it safe to mention the 'C' word yet? I mean Christmas of course! I haven't quite reached for the Baileys or started playing Mariah yet but I am super excited for the festive period, it really is the most wonderful time of the year! With life feeling way more 'normal' than it has for the past couple of years, we seem set to have a more traditional Christmas time and of course that means more parties! And parties need dresses so if you want something a little different and unique this time, My Vintage have so many amazing gowns in stock so make sure you come to visit us in person or of course virtually! With that in mind, we have lots of fantastic new arrivals this month so let's dive right in to the November list...
VINTAGE DRESSES
I love the Missoni vibes from this awesome 1960s mini dress. Beautiful aubergine purple colour with a wavy design separating the glorious knitted zig zag pattern sleeves in hues of blue and purple. Long sleeves and high neck, all made from a knit fabric so perfect for the autumn/winter. Would be fantastic with thick tights and boots. Slight stretch and back zip fastening. Uber retro 1960s mini dress in the ultimate palette of orange and deep chocolate brown - we've lovingly named her the chocolate orange dress! Made from a light non-stretch nylon fabric with a silky feel. Panels of orange, brown and orange and brown stripes. Simple straight sleeveless style with high round neck. Fastens with a back zip. This chic 60s vintage dress has a real Beatles feel with the manderin collar and boxy shape. Quality cotton with stunning horizontal stripes in mustard, chartreuse, pink, purple and grey. Darted bust, full button front and buttoned cuffs. Belt loops but no belt present. Would look great with a chain/loop belt slung low. Non stretch and in very good vintage condition. VINTAGE KNITWEAR
Fabulous monochrome vintage cardigan from the revered Pierre Cardin. Black and white swirled design with plain black trim to neckline, cuffs, hem and centre trim. Full button front with high neck that can be buttoned or left open as a collar. The angora blend gives that fluffy texture all over. Overall in very good vintage condition for age.
Rock the 70s boho look in this cute and cosy jumper. White with red and black knit detailing at the hem and cuffs and an adorable red tie at the neckline. Drawn in at the waist and cuffs for that fit and flare look. Looks so good with flared trousers for the autumn winter season. Thick knit so a little bit see through. Slight stretch and in very good vintage condition.
Super cute and cosy vintage Cardigan with adorable woodland animal design featuring hedgehogs, hares, rabbits, badgers and berries. Chunky knit with full button front. The top button is missing and one has been replaced with a different colour button. Otherwise in very good vintage condition.
VINTAGE BAGS
Beautiful little antique/vintage evening bag purse from the late 1920s/early 1930s. Rich chocolate brown fabric with pretty needlepoint floral design. Gold metal furnishings with simple snap clasp fastening and a delicate gold tone metal chain strap. This stunning bag measures approx 6.5" x 8". In very good vintage condition.
Stunning Jane Shilton bag in rich warm cream leather with mock snakeskin diamond design on the front in various shades of brown. This nifty handbag has carry handles as well as a removable shoulder strap. Two large internal compartments plus one zip pocket and one pouch pocket. Full zip fastening with Jane Shilton engraved on the zipper. Measures approx 14" x 7". In very good vintage condition.
Wow! This amazing vintage clutch bag is a bold but versatile piece from 1980s America. Cream leather half-circle with metallic gold and silver rainbow style panels and large ornate bow with leather tassels. Curved zip closure. Measures approx 15" x 9". Genuine leather, by New York New York. In very good vintage condition.
VINTAGE JEWELLERY
Unusual and interesting vintage brooch with cascading rows of pretty faux pearl and crystal beads. Simple gold tone metal oval at back with rollover catch fastening. Looks great on a big coat or chunky jumper. Approx 3” long when worn. A few signs of wear on very close inspection but generally in very good vintage condition. This is such a gorgeous vintage bracelet. 18K rolled gold plate tank track link bracelet with a foldover clasp. Perfect with so many different looks both casual and more dressy. Beautiful genuine sterling silver ring stamped with 925 ESPO SIG. Pretty purple polished stone in a cradle setting. A great chunky ring that has a really contemporary feel. Size is small. In very good vintage condition.
