No, you aren't seeing things it really is September 2021 already! Autumn is fast approaching and we will be enjoying darker cosier nights and wrapping up in layered looks before we know it. I have to admit that I am not the biggest fan of summer and autumn/winter are my absolute favourite seasons so I am pretty excited! It's been another crazy busy few weeks at My Vintage HQ and lots of goodies have been added to the website and put out in the shop. So if you fancy having a sneak peek at some amazing vintage finds then sit back and enjoy as I bring you the New Arrivals for September 2023...
VINTAGE HANDBAGS
Quirky heavy velvet clutch bag in golden brown and black with interesting patterns and textures. Twin sided with full lining and double chain handle. Fastens with a popper. When closed, measures approx 10" x 5.5". In very good vintage condition.
Cool and retro vintage pouch bag in a vivid blue fabric printed with retro daisies in red, orange, white and green. Gathered at the top with two round wooden carry handles. Pouch measures approx 17" x 14" and the handle measure approx 8" wide. Perfect for knitting, sewing, craft supplies or as a funky vintage handbag. In very good vintage condition.
We really love this cute and quirky 80s vintage shoulder bag. Made from white leather with multi-coloured diamond shaped snake effect patches to the front flap. Shoulder strap with gold buckle and three internal compartments in the fabric lining, including one zip pocket. Measures approx 11.5" x 8" with a strap drop of 10.5". Some blue discolouring around the inner edge and some general wear, but generally in good vintage condition.
VINTAGE SPORTSWEAR
Vintage Penn Sport 1/4 zip track top/jacket in navy and white. 1/4 zip funnel neck with Penn Sport down the zip, to the chest and down the left arm. Two front pockets, elasticated cuffs and two drawstring ties to the hem. No real signs of wear and no rips or holes so overall in very good vintage condition.
Retro 80s vibes with this classic polo shirt from Ellesse. 100% cotton polo with a little stretch, two button placket. Green and white horizontal bands with navy, red and blue horizontal pinstripes. Navy ribbed collar and cuffs, Ellesse logo to chest and woven brand tab to side. Some light signs of wear but overall in very good vintage condition.
Mens vintage red and black check trousers from Adidas. All over red and black check trousers with hook fastening and zip fly. Two front pockets and two back pockets with belt loops and black Adidas branding above back pocket. Some signs of wear but overall in very good vintage condition.
VINTAGE SUITS
Fab vintage two-piece suit from the 1970s. A-line skirt with front box pleat and matching loose-fit waistcoat with bust ties. Both are made from a textured fabric in oatmeal toned stripes of white, cream, brown and grey. Slight stretch to the fabric. Skirt fastens with a side zip and button. Just add a pussybow blouse for the perfect 70s secretarial look! Also great pieces worn separately - mix and match! In very good vintage condition.
This is a stunning boho 2 piece suit from 1970s designer Oriental Arts. Made from a slubbed cotton/linen fabric in vibrant jade green, with pretty white embroidery and mirrored disc details. The top can be worn fastened or as an open jacket and the flared high-waisted trousers are super cool. The trousers are more fitted and the top/jacket is a looser more relaxed fit. These are also great as separates with other items. Non stretch. In very good vintage condition.
Super cute 2-piece suit from the 1960s comprising a mini skirt and fitted cardigan top. White synthetic knit with a slight silver sparkle lurex thread. Looks great as a suit and also as separate pieces for mix and match. Elastic in the waistband has perished a little so isn't fully stretchy. Light silky lining, full button front and slight stretch to the fabric. In very good vintage condition.
DESIGNER VINTAGE
This is a very rare and collectable vintage dress from the iconic Jean Muir. This is truly stunning bold print of abstract fruit shapes with muted shades of red, blue, green, yellow and orange - printed onto luxurious silk. Button front dress with high waistband, loose floaty skirt and cropped balloon sleeves. The delicate silk is around 50 years old and there are a few small holes around the sleeves and bodice but these are only visable on close inspection. Non stretch. Generally in good vintage condition.
An Ossie Clark vintage piece with print by Celia Birtwell is up there with some of the most collectable vintage there is, and this is a beautiful example. Cream silk, light sheer and airy with tropical fern and floral print in pink and green. Long skinny sleeves with button cuffs and full button front. Finished with an uber 70s collar. This delicate silk blouse is around 50 years old and there are some signs of age on close inspection, namely a few very small moth holes. Non stretch. Generally in good vintage condition. A true piece of fashion history!
Emmanuelle Khanh was a visionary and highly revered designer who launched her first range in 1969. The designs that came out of her Parisian fashion house were liberating and the epitome of style. Her luxe label became even more desirable when she collaborated with greats such as Missoni and Cacharel. This is a beautiful and delicate blouse made from a crepe fabric in cream with a pretty collar, capped sleeves and full button front. Little embroidered flowers and gathering details. Non stretch. There are some tiny moth/pin holes on close inspection but generally in good vintage condition.
