Of course we love vintage in all it's many shapes and forms, and it offers such a unique and stylish option as well as being a really sustainable and conscious choice. There is a whole other level of vintage glamour and luxury and that is designer vintage. There are, of course, many highly valuable collectors items such as a vintage Chanel purse or a vintage Hermès bag but there are actually many more accessible and affordable pieces of designer vintage clothing and designer vintage accessories in our range.
With that in mind, this week I bring you my Style Spotlight focussing on Designer Vintage, to show you some of my favourite pieces currently in stock at www.myvintage.co.uk so let's dive right in...
Designer vintage sunglasses from Yves Saint Laurent in an oversized rectangular shape. Wine/burgundy coloured metal rims with intricate metal work at each side and resin arms marked with YSL logo. Inner arm marked YSL 6159/K/S, CDJHJ, 63-13, 125> Made in Italy. The hinges are quite loose but this doesn’t affect the sunglasses when worn. Rose tinted lenses. Measures approx 6” wide.
Amazing vintage designer dress from one of the ultimate fashion labels - Courreges. This slightly a-liner shift dress has an unusual side button closure and is in a fantastic colour block style with white, lemon and light denim blue panels. There is even a little Courreges signature at the empire line. Non stretch high quality cotton, this is a real investment and such a rare find.
A gorgeous vintage short sleeve top from 1980s Christian Lacroix! Green with a contrasting swirl pattern, zip front and 2 faux chest pockets and 2 front pockets. Label size 38, made in France. Very good vintage condition.
Stunning vintage scarf from the iconic and sought after Moschino. Square silk scarf with a bright tropical print featuring vividly coloured parrots and plants. Blue and green LOVE MOSCHINO printed border . Stitched edges. Measures approx 20" x 20" square. In very good vintage condition.
This stunning designer vintage dress from 70s Lanvin, gives us all the summer vibes we ever needed! Just add oversized sunglasses and sandals or bright red heels for pure unique vintage chic. Boho gypsy style neckline with fitted waist and swishy full skirt. White textured fabric with stripes of deep blue, red, chartreuse and olive green. The stripes become denser on the skirt which leaders to a more Missoni-esque zigzag pattern. Light and airy fabric with a little stretch. Lined skirt. Back zip fastening. Some pulls to the fabric but overall in very good vintage condition.
This is one of the most beautiful dresses we have ever had the pleasure of having here at My Vintage. Karl Lagerfeld is of course of the fashion elite, and this Lagerfeld Gallery dress is a particularly stunning example of the reason why. Black slinky cocktail dress in the most amazing grade of viscose that feels liquid soft. Rouched front with buttons, pleats and pocket darts. Large bow to the empire waist and a boned collar that sticks up and away from the neck. The draped fit and flare design is second to none and you are guaranteed to look and feel a million dollars in this designer beauty. Slight stretch and back zip fastening. In excellent vintage condition.
This is a stunning pair of designer vintage heels from the house of Balmain. Timeless and elegant slingback style with hourglass heel and elongated pointed toe. Made from a quality genuine leather in deep brown with three striped panels in graduated shades of brown. Marked size 39 so UK size 6. Sole measures approx 11" x 3" and heel height approx 3.5". These amazing Balmain shoes have been worn but are in very good vintage condition.
We are in LOVE with this amazing vintage trouser suit from 90s Moschino. Rich blue stretch denim with a sparkle of silver throughout the fabric. Fitted straight leg trousers and longline blazer, look amazing together or worn as separates. Three front pockets to the blazer and silver metal buttons, embossed with Moschino Jeans and love hearts. Trousers have belt loops and a front zip and button fastening. Such an amazing set from one of the most coveted designer labels. Label size is UK 10/USA 6. In very good vintage condition.
There is no mistaking the quality of these amazing trousers from luxe designer label Max Mara. Stunning blue/grey colour in a luxurious silky feel with a wide straight leg. Non stretch with front concealed hook and zip fastening. Two side pockets. Perfect dress trousers just add a white shirt for a stylish look. In very good vintage condition.
This is definitely one of those WOW moments. This beautiful dress is from 1980s Burberry (Burberrys at the time) The fabric is a beautiful silk feel cotton fabric in a light grey/blue colour. Shirtwaister style with embroidered detail on the collar and full button front. Full flared swing skirt with elasticated waist. Matching self fabric coated belt. Non stretch fabric. A truly beautiful vintage designer dress and super wearable. In very good vintage condition.
