I love vintage bags - it was in fact where this whole vintage adventure started for me. I remember playing dress up in my aunt's bedroom when I was little. She had the most amazing collection of costume jewellery, shoes, dresses and of course handbags. They were always the accessory I was most drawn to and fast forward to the early 2000s, I started selling vintage with a few vintage clutch bags and the rest, as they say, is history.
Buying a vintage handbag is a great way to dip your toes in the water if you are new to the world of vintage. You can team a vintage bag with a modern outfit for a cool and unique look. Like with all vintage, you will find such a superior quality of materials and craftsmanship with a vintage bag too, so it will last you for many years to come. A simple classic clutch bag in black or neutral tones will stay stylish forever, no matter what the trends. By the same token, you can go for more of a statement bag in bright colours or patterns, to wear with a more plain or simple outfit.
There are also some amazing larger vintage bags that can be used for weekends away or overnight stays, and one of my personal favourites are vintage vanity cases. You can use these for makeup and toiletries whether it is to travel or just use as super cute storage in your bedroom or bathroom.

Cute and funky original vintage bag in pouch style knitted in a zig-zag design in deep red/pink/crimson wool. Brown and pink floral lining and chunky wooden handles. Measures approx 18" x 15” including handles. In very good vintage condition.
Wow! Chiltern handbags are super collectable and it is easy to see why. Timelessly stylish and super versatile as well as excellently crafted from quality genuine leather. This ia a large bucket style shoulder bag in glossy black and tan leather with goldtone fixings. Front panel with Chiltern Via Moda lettering and front buckle. Adjustable belt style shoulder strap and two internal compartments. Measures approx 10" x 9.5" x 5" with a strap drop of 20-24". This is is excellent vintage condition and looks brand new.
Wow, this is such a stunning and unusual early 50s evening bag/purse. Classic black with chunky clear stones/diamantes all over the front. Soft pouch style with silver metal snap clasp and chain handle. Measures approx 7.5" x 7.5" with a 5" strap drop. A few loose threads but generally in very good vintage condition.
Super cute and oozing with retro joy - we love this bright statement floral handbag in green and pink. Semi structured silky feel fabric with zip closure and carry handle. Some cracking to the inner but generally in very good vintage condition and seems only lightly used. Perfect for day to day use as well as using for makeup, toiletries etc. Measures approx 11" x 8" x 3".
Emma Hope is a celebrated designer of exquisite shoes and handbags, with all her products being hand made in Italy. This is such a stunning luxurious vintage handbag made from genuine python skin with leather fixings and handles. Cute and neat boxy style with clever little zipped purse attached inside (this can be removed if required) Stamped inside with EMMA HOPE and Made in Italy. Small zipped pocket inside. A stunning piece of vintage designer wear from the 1990s. Measures approx 10" x 8.5". In very good vintage condition.
This is a fantastic and super large structured basket bag woven in panels of black, cream, brown and blue. Black faux leather straps with stud and ring details down each side. Great for carrying shopping etc or simply for display or storage in the home. Some slight cracking on the faux leather but generally in very good vintage condition. Measures approx 15" x 12" x 7" with 6" tall handles.
We love this fab vintage square satchel style bag, perfect for studying, overnight or short stays. Rich tan faux leather in large square shape with full zip fastening and carry handle. Additional zipped compartment on one side. Clever suitcase style lock on the zipper, original key is not present. A great sturdy and durable vintage bag. Measures approx 13" x 13" x 8". In very good vintage condition.
Beautiful little antique/vintage evening bag purse from the late 1920s/early 1930s. Rich chocolate brown fabric with pretty needlepoint floral design. Gold metal furnishings with simple snap clasp fastening and a delicate gold tone metal chain strap. This stunning bag measures approx 6.5" x 8". In very good vintage condition.
We love tapestry and carpet bags and this is fab for travel, weekends away or just for storing bits like skincare and makeup at home. Structured box vanity case in rich tones of green, brown and pink with brown faux leather edging and fixings. Zip around top with additional shoulder strap and carry handle. Lined inside with a mirror and extra removable waterproof pouch included. Four rubber feet underneath and embossed on front with RHINO BRAND. Measures approx 13" x 7.5" x 9". In very good vintage condition.
This beautiful and glamorous evening bag/evening purse is a fantastic Art Deco inspired piece. Pewtertone soft shell purse fully beaded and sequinned, with a silver metal chain carry handle. Fastens with two magnetic popper buttons and opens to reveal a silver lined pouch and zipped pocket. Measures approx 9" x 4" with approx 9" strap drop. On close inspection there are a few missing sequins but generally in very good vintage condition.
