Coming at you with another fantastic vintage Top Ten this week, from our unrivalled selection at www.myvintage.uk This week I have chosen some of my absolute favourite 1970s vintage dresses from our virtual rails. For me, the seventies offers such a melting pot of styles from the glitz of disco to the boho hippy vibes, and some seriously stylish entries in-between. There were also some seriously sought after fashion designers in the 1970s, whose pieces are at the most collectable they have ever been. Whether maxi, midi or mini, there are so many amazing styles of vintage dresses from the 1970s that I am sure there will be something you love in this week's hot list! So lets take a look...
1 - 1970s Vintage Floral Shimmer Smock Dress Size 12/14 £40
Very pretty hippy dress from the 1970s. Light and semi-sheer cotton in light grey with black, brown and pink floral prints. Finished with a metallic gold pinstripe that catches. Long sleeves and unusual dropped waist design with tier detailing on the skirt. Non stretch fabric. Made in India. In very good vintage condition.
2 - 1970s Vintage Houndstooth Print Midi Dress UK Size 18 £35
Cute and wearable plus size vintage dress from the 1970s. In the coveted midi length, this sleeveless dress is in a navy and light grey houndstooth print in a soft stretch polyester fabric. Button front and self fabric tie belt. Two large front pockets. Also great for layering. In very good vintage condition.
3 - 1970s Vintage Orange Floral Pussybow Dress Size 12/14 £44
Super cute mini dress from the early 1970s. Bright and sunny orange and yellow floral nylon fabric in a mini length with long sleeves, high neck and pussybow ties. Classic deep 70s cuffs with double button fastenings. Slightly sheer fabric with no stretch. Back zip fastening. In very good vintage condition.
4 - 1970s Vintage Jean Allen Purple Prom Dress Size 6/8 £145
Wow! This is a stunning vintage dress from the very collectable Jean Allen. Beautiful and whimsical floaty strapless prom dress with boned rouched bodice and sweetheart neckline. The cinched waist leads to a full midi skirt and you can also add a petticoat and slim belt for more volume to give this a more 1950s look. Chiffon style fabric with full lining. Fastens with a back zip. Non stretch and very fitted. In very good vintage condition.
5 - 1970s Vintage Black Velvet Smock Dress Size 14 £36
You can create so many different looks with this 1970s vintage smock dress. Black stretch velvet with roll neck, long sleeves and slightly flared midi skirt. Can be dressed up or down for many different occasions. Back zip fastening and darted bust. In very good vintage condition.
6 - 1970s Vintage Red Polka Dot Halterneck Maxi Dress UK Size 10 £40
Make a real statement in this stunning vintage dress that's bang on trend for Summer. Full length maxi dress in ravishing red with plain top and white polka dots to the skirt and neck ties. Self tie halterneck with fitted waist and flowing skirt with front split up to knee level. Non stretch fabric and back zip fastening. In very good vintage condition.
7 - 1970s Vintage Louis Feraud Ice Blue Evening Dress UK Size 14 £180
Amazing designer vintage evening dress by Louis Feraud for Rembrandt. Icy blue with silver metallic detail, this maxi length dress is made from a fine knit and hangs beautifully. Completed with a silver waist sash with sparkling buckle, that can be tied at the back. Sleeveless simple shape with stretch. Fastens with a back zip. In very good vintage condition.
8 - 1970s Vintage Lime Green Celtic Print Smock Dress UK Size 12/14 £38
Beautiful 1970s vintage dress, in a classic smock style with long sleeves and A-line skirt. Lightweight non-stretch nylon mix fabric in lime green, printed with a blue Celtic pattern. Open collar and button front. Double button cuffs. Fully darted and shaped. Fastens with a back zip. In very good vintage condition.
9 - 1970s Vintage Broidery Anglais Shirt Dress Size 8/10 £42
Cute and stylish mini shirt dress from 1970s Gordon Grant. Semi sheer broidery anglais fabric in cream and brown with full button front, pointed collar and elasticated cuffs. The nature of the fabric means this is quite sheer so may benefit from something underneath. Non stretch and in very good vintage condition.
10 - 1970s Vintage African Style Kaftan One Size £44
Stunning vintage kaftan made from a quality non stretch cotton. The print is rich earthy and jewel tones has an African tribal feel, with a large heart shape to the centre. Split neckline and amazing deep pointed feature sleeves. Shorter length, can be worn as a dress or top. Will fit any size up to a UK 16. In very good vintage condition.
