Shoes and boots never let us down - they will be faithful friends no matter how our bodies fluctuate. There is just something about putting on a new pair that feels so exciting and of course even better if they are vintage. Just like with vintage clothing, there is nothing quite like the feeling of smug when someone asks where your shoes are from and you say "oh, they're vintage"
For this week's Top Ten I have selected some utterly fantastic vintage shoes and vintage boots from our current selection at www.myvintage.uk in a wide range of sizes, styles, eras and prices. I'm pretty sure there will be something that both you and your feet will love!

1. 1970s Vintage Brown Suede Knee Boots UK 6/EU 39 £45
This is a great pair of original vintage boots from the 1970s, made from a chocolate brown suede with a wooden effect heel. Classic knee boots with full zip on the inner leg. Sole measures approx 10" x 3.5" with a 4" heel and full boot length of 16". These aren't in perfect condition, there are some scuffs and marks to the suede and the heel tips have worn away so will need to be replaced. However, they have lots of wear left in them and are generally in good vintage condition.
2. Retro Jackie Leggett Pewter Platform Wedges UK 3/EU 36 £45
This is an awesome and rare pair of retro shoes from British shoe designer Jackie Leggett. Super blocky platform wedges with curved crossover upper and chunky ankle strap with buckle. All in a pewter-tone and black scale-like pattern with a subtle shimmer, bringing all the 70s disco glam. Platform is 2" and full heel is 5". Sole measures approx 8" x 3". Man-made upper and sole and leather lining. Lightly worn but in very good vintage condition.
3. 1990s Vintage Moschino Peep Toe Shoes UK 5/EU 38 £80
Super cute vintage shoes from one of our favourites - Moschino (Cheap & Chic). Deep purple patent leather with peep toe heel, bow detail and small 1" block heel. These are very versatile and comfortable to wear. Slip-on style. Supplied in their original dust bag. Sole measures approx 9" x 3" - a UK size 5/EU size 38. No size markings. Lined with a purple polka dot fabric. These shoes have been worn but are still in very good vintage condition.
4. 1970s Vintage Burgundy Leather Knee Boots UK 7/EU 40 £50
A super stylish pair of vintage knee boots from the 1970s, made from a rich burgundy leather. Classic style with full inner leg zip and slightly coned heel. Hidden elastic insert for ease of fit. The inner sole is printed with "Quality product of Great Britain" and stamped as Size 7. The sole measures approx 10.25" x 3.25" with a 3.5" heel and full boot length of 16". Have been worn but are in very good vintage condition.
5. 1980s Vintage Cream Pastel Stilettos UK 5.5/EUR 38.5 £24
Adorable 1980s shoes from retro high street heroes Dolcis. Pointed stilettos in cream faux leather with a pretty pastel leaf design on the toe in lemon, pink and green. Made in Britain. Sole measures approx 10" x 3" and heel approx 3.5" high. Man-made upper and man-made soles. Have been well worn but still in good vintage condition and very wearable.
6. 1980s Vintage Brown Over-Knee Boots UK 6/EU 39 £65
Wow, make a real statement with these awesome over-the-knee boots from the late 1980s. Brown leather and suede with lace-up eyelets all the way up the back of each leg. The tops can be folded over for a slightly lower height with more of a pirate boot look. Softly pointed toes and flat soles. The soles have hardly any wear although there is a little shaping to the upper and some scratches to the suedette uppers. Sole measures approx 10" x 3.5" and full height of each boot is approx 23". In very good vintage condition.
7. 1970s Vintage Bruno Magli Purple Heels UK 5.5/EUR 38.5 £65
Stunning vintage heels from luxe designer Bruno Magli of Italy. Very pretty purple leather uppers with peep toes and gathered detail and a dainty ankle strap with a small side buckle. Finished with a thick block heel. Sole measures approx 10" x 3" and heel approx 3.5" high. Marked as Vero Cuoio meaning 'real leather'. These are beautiful glamorous vintage shoes and have been well worn but are still in very good vintage condition.
8. 1980s Vintage Balmain Black Velvet Stilettos UK 5/EU 38 £70
Stunning designer vintage shoes from iconic French luxe label Balmain. Pointed stilettos in black velvet with small, medium and large rhinestone detail. Unusual split-sole detail and slightly curved heel. Sole measures approx 10.5" x 3.25" with a 3" slim heel. In very good vintage condition with only light wearing. An amazing pair of shoes!
9. 1970s Inspired Terry de Havilland Platforms UK 6/EU 39 £110
These aren't just any old shoes, they are an absolute work of art! From the iconic 1970s shoe designer Terry de Havilland's relaunch. Based on the original 1970s design, this is an amazing pair of platform heels in a muted orange snakeskin effect leather. Slip-on style with peep-toe and pinched bow detail on the toe. Finished with a chunky block heel and lined in gold metallic. Branded D-Havz and marked size 39. Sole measures approx 10" x 3" with 1" platform and 4.5" heel. These have been worn but are still in very good vintage condition.
10. 1980s Vintage Faux Leather Slouch Boots UK 7/EU 40 £36
Uber 80s slouchy boots made from warm cream faux leather. Mid-calf length with pointed toe and slim 3" heel. Wear with a ra-ra-skirt and some big accessories for the full 80s fantasy! Pull-on style, easy and comfortable to wear. Sole measures approx 10.5" x 3.25" and boot height is approx 13" excluding heel. There is significant wear to the tip of each heel but otherwise they are in very good vintage condition.
From designer vintage heels to cosy winter boots, I am sure you'll agree that this is one seriously good list of vintage footwear! All the items are available as this blog post is published.
