There is no denying that seventies fashion is everywhere right now. To be honest, it hasn't really left the world of fashion trends for several years now and that makes me happy! There are, however, some questionable interpretations of the 1970s fashion trend online right now. I'm not a vintage purist and I think it's great to mix original vintage fashion with high street pieces or mix various eras to create one individual look. But take the current Love Island cast and their take on a 1970s themed party recently... don't get me wrong they look amazing; but this isn't really the seventies fashion I know and love!
Not a platform heel or dagger collar in sight - and we can't be having that can we? Inspired by the massive seventies trend of the moment, I have rounded up my Top Ten seventies items currently available at My Vintage from 1970s dresses to 1970s tops and 1970s shoes to 1970s bags we've got it all.

1 - 1970s Vintage Monochrome Victoriana Maxi Dress Size 8 £44
Gorgeous 70s vintage Victoriana maxi dress in stylish monochrome. Black with white bust panel and white trim to neckline, panel and sleeves. High neck and wide angel sleeves with full length skirt. 2 - 1970s Vintage Retro Patterned Shirt Size 10/12 £24
Cute vintage shirt in a slinky stretch fabric. Fantastic retro print in grey, orange, mustard and black. Buttoned down halfway with collar, short sleeves and a chest pocket. 3 - 1970s Vintage Purple Stretch Trousers Size 14 £26
Fabulous groovy trousers from the late 1970s, in a vivid purple shade. These stretch trousers have a ribbed texture and centre leg seams to the front and back. Flat fronted style with a side zip and concealed metal hook and eye. Straight leg slacks, look great with flats or chunky shoes. In very good vintage condition. 4 - 1970s Vintage Rainbow Plaited Platform Heels UK 5/EU 38 £45
Super cool platform heels from the height of the 70s! White leather platform sole with rainbow coloured plaited leather uppers. These are very rare and amazing shoes, they are been worn well and are not perfect as there are some scuffs and marks that look like glue. Sole measures approx 9.5" x 3" with approx 3.5" heel. 5 - 1970s Vintage Purple Frill Collar Blouse Size 12 £25
Gorgeous vintage blouse in vivid purple with a ditsy print in a lighter purple and amber. Full button front with round frilled neckline. 8 - 1970s Vintage Chunky Silver Sandals UK 4.5/EU 37.5 £28
We love these Barratts Sapphire early 70s dancing sandals - named 'Quickstep'. High shine metallic silver with pretty silver square design upper and slingback with side buckle and chunky block heel. 9 - 1970s Vintage Tan Leather Satchel Bag £32
A firm favourite here at My Vintage! Amazing vintage leather handbag in a distinct satchel style. The rich tan brown colour makes this even more desirable and versatile. Square shape with chunky gold tone front buckle (pinch and release style) Carry handle to the top and original removable shoulder strap. This strap needs some repair work/reinforcement but is also a great bag without it. Opens up to reveal 6 individual inner compartments - two zipped.
