This exquisite and highly unusual mid-century brooch is beautifully crafted in silver tone metal and depicts a poised ballerina mid-dance, her pleated skirt fanning out in sculptural detail as she reaches gracefully upwards to hold a lustrous faux pearl. The design captures the elegance and movement of classical ballet with striking realism, making it a rare and desirable collector’s piece.

Substantial yet refined, it fastens with an old-style C-catch to the reverse and bears no maker’s mark, adding to its unique charm.

Measuring approximately 3" x 2", this brooch is in very good vintage condition with only minor age-related wear.

Clothing sizes have changed over the years and from decade to decade we see alternative types of sizing as well as variations on the way measurements equate to dress sizes.

We always recommend that you double-check the measurements of the vintage clothing item you are interested in, ideally by measuring an item of clothing you already own and that fits well, and comparing these measurements. There can be variations due to the desired fit, shape and fabric of an item but our size guidelines are normally very accurate and take the stress out of buying vintage online.
