1980s Vintage Gina Bacconi Black & Gold Sequin Party Dress Size 12

Designer Vintage Gina Bacconi strapless evening dress from the 1980s, combining bold statement glamour with elegant, fluid movement. The standout bodice is richly embellished in gold sequins over a textured base, creating a striking, light-catching effect with an almost molten metallic finish. The sculpted sweetheart-style neckline enhances the silhouette beautifully, while the pointed waist detail adds that classic 80s drama and structure. In contrast, the skirt flows effortlessly in soft black chiffon, designed in three layers — a base lining, a netted layer for volume, and a semi-sheer outer layer that gives that signature swish and movement with every step. The back features a fully shirred elasticated panel, allowing for a comfortable and flexible fit while still maintaining shape through the bodice. Finished with a large black bow at the back. Labelled Gina Bacconi, made in Britain, size 10. Measures approx 36" bust, 30" waist, free hips, 42" length. Best suited to a modern UK size 12, with a little flexibility thanks to the elasticated back. Style this with simple heels and gold accessories to echo the bodice, or add a sharp blazer for a more modern, styled contrast — it’s a true occasion piece that carries itself. In very good vintage condition overall, with only minor signs of wear. On very close inspection there are a couple of slight pulls, but these are not noticeable when worn.
