1970s Vintage Emerald Green Velvet Blazer Size Small
An effortlessly striking 1970s vintage velvet blazer in a rich emerald green tone, with that unmistakable soft, light-catching pile that shifts beautifully in tone as it moves. This is a proper statement piece but still incredibly wearable — the clean, tailored cut balances the bold fabric perfectly, giving it that sharp, slightly rock-and-roll edge the era does so well. Made in Switzerland by Ritex and specially tailored for Dickens of Manchester, this piece has a lovely sense of quality and heritage behind it. The silhouette is classic and flattering, with structured shoulders, a neat single-breasted front fastening with two buttons, and a back vent for ease of movement. Two front pockets keep the look clean and minimal, allowing the velvet itself to do all the talking. Fully lined for comfort, the fabric feels smooth and plush with a luxurious weight, sitting nicely without feeling stiff. Measures approximately 38" chest, 16" shoulder to shoulder, 25" sleeve length and 29" full length, best suited to a modern men’s UK small or a slim/unisex fit. This is the kind of blazer that instantly elevates an outfit — throw it over a simple shirt and denim for an effortless vintage look, or dress it up with black trousers and boots for something a little sharper and more evening-ready. In very good vintage condition.

MEASURED & READY TO WEAR
Carefully measured, described and prepared — no surprises.
At My Vintage, we take time to carefully measure each item of vintage clothing so that you have the best chance of ensuring a good fit whenever you buy from us. We measure the clothing laid flat as the diagrams show below and for bust, chest, waist and hips we double the measurement. For example, if the waist measures 17" across when laid flat then this would equate to a 34" waist (17 x 2 = 34)
We use the measurements we collate to assign each item of vintage clothing with an approximate modern-day size. For example, a dress with a 34" bust, 28" waist and 34" hips would normally equate to a current UK size 10. The labels on vintage clothing can vary massively depending on country of origin and date of manufacture. Clothing sizes have changed over the years and from decade to decade we see alternative types of sizing as well as variations on the way measurements equate to dress sizes.
We always recommend that you double-check the measurements of the vintage clothing item you are interested in, ideally by measuring an item of clothing you already own and that fits well, and comparing these measurements. There can be variations due to the desired fit, shape and fabric of an item but our size guidelines are normally very accurate and take the stress out of buying vintage online.
