A beautifully made men’s vintage Tyrolean-style hat dating to the 1960s–1970s, produced by Kendal and made in England. Crafted from 100% wool, this traditional Alpine-inspired design features a neatly structured crown and a short, even brim, creating a compact, well-balanced silhouette. The wool is woven in a rich brown and beige base with subtle woven highlights of blue, red and orange running through the check pattern, adding depth and visual interest without overpowering the overall look. A classic decorative trim runs around the crown, finished with a small buckle detail and an original feather accent at the side — a distinctive feature of Tyrolean and Alpine hats, traditionally worn for everyday use rather than formal occasions. The labels on vintage clothing can vary massively depending on country of origin and date of manufacture. Clothing sizes have changed over the years and from decade to decade we see alternative types of sizing as well as variations on the way measurements equate to dress sizes.

We always recommend that you double-check the measurements of the vintage clothing item you are interested in, ideally by measuring an item of clothing you already own and that fits well, and comparing these measurements. There can be variations due to the desired fit, shape and fabric of an item but our size guidelines are normally very accurate and take the stress out of buying vintage online.
