1970s Vintage Deep Chocolate Glossy Vinyl Belt One Size
A striking 1970s vintage belt in the richest deep chocolate brown with a high-gloss vinyl finish that catches the light beautifully. Sleek, clean and architectural in feel, this is a wonderfully minimal piece with just enough edge to elevate a simple outfit. Crafted from glossy PVC/vinyl in a structured yet flexible finish, the belt has a smooth, lacquered surface that almost resembles patent leather. The squared metal buckle in a darkened, gunmetal tone keeps the look understated and modern, while the pointed tip adds a subtle nod to classic tailoring details. Rather than traditional punched holes, this belt threads through the buckle and can be adjusted freely to any size up to its full length of approximately 39" (99cm). Width measures approximately 1.5" (4cm). This makes it incredibly versatile — suitable for a modern UK size 6–16 depending on where it’s worn (waist or hips). It would look incredible cinched over a floaty 70s midi dress, styled with high-waisted trousers and a tucked blouse, or even layered over a chunky knit for that effortless vintage editorial feel. The deep brown tone is softer than black, making it especially flattering against cream, rust, olive and caramel palettes. In very good vintage condition with slight, age-appropriate surface wear visible on close inspection, but no major flaws and plenty of life left.

MEASURED & READY TO WEAR
Carefully measured, described and prepared — no surprises.
At My Vintage, we take time to carefully measure each item of vintage clothing so that you have the best chance of ensuring a good fit whenever you buy from us. We measure the clothing laid flat as the diagrams show below and for bust, chest, waist and hips we double the measurement. For example, if the waist measures 17" across when laid flat then this would equate to a 34" waist (17 x 2 = 34)
We use the measurements we collate to assign each item of vintage clothing with an approximate modern-day size. For example, a dress with a 34" bust, 28" waist and 34" hips would normally equate to a current UK size 10. The labels on vintage clothing can vary massively depending on country of origin and date of manufacture. Clothing sizes have changed over the years and from decade to decade we see alternative types of sizing as well as variations on the way measurements equate to dress sizes.
We always recommend that you double-check the measurements of the vintage clothing item you are interested in, ideally by measuring an item of clothing you already own and that fits well, and comparing these measurements. There can be variations due to the desired fit, shape and fabric of an item but our size guidelines are normally very accurate and take the stress out of buying vintage online.
