Original 1960s Vintage Rust Mod Tunic Dress Size 12/14
A beautifully tailored original 1960s vintage tunic dress by Bellerive, Côte d’Azur Nice, manufactured in Britain — a piece that perfectly captures the clean, modernist elegance of late 60s fashion. Rendered in a rich rust tone, the colour alone gives this piece a warm, sophisticated feel, while the structured cut keeps the overall look sharp and refined. Crafted from a heavier-weight Crimplene fabric with a slight stretch, it offers both structure and comfort, holding its shape beautifully while remaining easy to wear. The design features a high neckline with hook fastenings at the back, adding a sleek, polished finish, alongside long fitted sleeves and carefully placed shaping seams that contour the body without feeling restrictive. The silhouette gently flares into a subtle A-line, with two front splits that add movement and a hint of edge to the otherwise minimalist design. This is a wonderfully versatile piece — true to its era but effortlessly wearable today. It can be styled as a classic 60s mini with tights and boots, or worn as a tunic over trousers for a more contemporary, layered look. A fantastic example of understated designer vintage, where the quality of cut and fabric speak for themselves. In very good vintage condition with only light signs of wear consistent with age.

MEASURED & READY TO WEAR
Carefully measured, described and prepared — no surprises.
At My Vintage, we take time to carefully measure each item of vintage clothing so that you have the best chance of ensuring a good fit whenever you buy from us. We measure the clothing laid flat as the diagrams show below and for bust, chest, waist and hips we double the measurement. For example, if the waist measures 17" across when laid flat then this would equate to a 34" waist (17 x 2 = 34)
We use the measurements we collate to assign each item of vintage clothing with an approximate modern-day size. For example, a dress with a 34" bust, 28" waist and 34" hips would normally equate to a current UK size 10. The labels on vintage clothing can vary massively depending on country of origin and date of manufacture. Clothing sizes have changed over the years and from decade to decade we see alternative types of sizing as well as variations on the way measurements equate to dress sizes.
We always recommend that you double-check the measurements of the vintage clothing item you are interested in, ideally by measuring an item of clothing you already own and that fits well, and comparing these measurements. There can be variations due to the desired fit, shape and fabric of an item but our size guidelines are normally very accurate and take the stress out of buying vintage online.
