1970s Vintage Chocolate & Olive Leather Art Deco Style Belt Size S–M
A beautifully understated yet striking 1970s vintage leather belt in rich chocolate brown with a sculptural olive green front panel that feels almost Art Deco in shape. Elegant, architectural and softly structured, this is a piece that whispers luxury rather than shouting it. Crafted from incredibly supple, soft leather with a suede-like finish to the outer chocolate band and a smooth nappa-feel inner lining, the belt has a wonderfully fluid drape. Although lightweight and slightly flexible in structure, it feels high quality and beautifully made. The wide olive front feature is stitched in sweeping panels that fan outward, creating a stylised geometric motif reminiscent of Deco sunbursts or 70s revival design. The belt fastens at the back with a simple hook and three size options measuring approximately 26" (66cm), 30" (76cm) and 32" (81cm). Width measures approximately 4cm. Best suited to a modern UK size 8–12 depending on desired fit and whether worn high on the waist or slightly lower. This is the kind of piece that transforms a simple knit dress, silk blouse or tailored jumpsuit into something far more considered. It would look incredible layered over chocolate, cream, rust or forest tones for a cohesive 70s palette. In very good vintage condition with only very light, age-appropriate wear and no major flaws.

MEASURED & READY TO WEAR
Carefully measured, described and prepared — no surprises.
At My Vintage, we take time to carefully measure each item of vintage clothing so that you have the best chance of ensuring a good fit whenever you buy from us. We measure the clothing laid flat as the diagrams show below and for bust, chest, waist and hips we double the measurement. For example, if the waist measures 17" across when laid flat then this would equate to a 34" waist (17 x 2 = 34)
We use the measurements we collate to assign each item of vintage clothing with an approximate modern-day size. For example, a dress with a 34" bust, 28" waist and 34" hips would normally equate to a current UK size 10. The labels on vintage clothing can vary massively depending on country of origin and date of manufacture. Clothing sizes have changed over the years and from decade to decade we see alternative types of sizing as well as variations on the way measurements equate to dress sizes.
We always recommend that you double-check the measurements of the vintage clothing item you are interested in, ideally by measuring an item of clothing you already own and that fits well, and comparing these measurements. There can be variations due to the desired fit, shape and fabric of an item but our size guidelines are normally very accurate and take the stress out of buying vintage online.
