A charming 1970s vintage elephant brooch in warm antiqued brass-tone metal, beautifully decorated with intricate scrolling and foliate-style patterns across the body, head and ears.
The stylised elephant has a wonderfully ornate, almost Indian-inspired feel, with its curved trunk and richly textured surface giving this petite piece plenty of character despite its small size.
Measuring approximately 1" across, it is finished with a traditional pin fastening to the reverse and would make a lovely little accent on a jacket lapel, scarf or knit.
The darker detailing within the engraved pattern gives the design extra depth and emphasises the decorative workmanship beautifully.
In very good vintage condition with light age-related patina consistent with its age.
