Even if you don't already have any original vintage in your home, you might be surprised how much of your contemporary decor takes inspiration from a bygone era. Just like the world of fashion, homeware and interior designers are inspired by many factors and often with vintage influence. Take the recent trend for pampas grass in the home, this was hugely influenced by Mrs Hinch and took off big time on social media as a new and fresh modern look. But pampas grass is certainly nothing new. It was massive in the 1970s and then had a re-surge in the nineties, before becoming popular again today.
You may also be someone who loves to have lots of original vintage pieces in your home, whether you mix and match with more contemporary furnishings or opt for a real authentic retro look. Perhaps you like to collect vintage pieces from a specific era or a certain label or enjoy sourcing gifts for a loved one who does. MAGAZINE RACKS
Collectable vintage 1950s Atomic magazine rack from My Vintage ideal for any vintage and retro collector or home. Amazing 1950s Atomic magazine rack/holder. gold metal frame with 4 cream balls to feet. Good solid piece, measures 16" x 13" x 9" and in very good vintage condition.
Super cool gold tone metal frame with 4 red rubber balls to feet. Ornate curved metalwork to each side. Measures approx 13.5" x 13.5”. Good solid piece, highly collectable and perfect for any vintage or retro home. In very good vintage condition.
This is an amazing 1950s Atomic magazine rack/holder. Gold metal sides and iron frame with black acorn shaped rubber feet. Good solid piece, measures approx 16" x 13" x 6” and in very good vintage condition.
DECORATIVE
Iconic large size vintage print of big eyed gypsy girl in a white wooden frame. Print has faded to this attractive blue hue which makes a great fit for certain colour schemes in the home. Measures approx 21" x 7". In very good vintage condition.
Vintage retro mid-century wood and metal starburst wall clock. Round teak clock face with silver hands. 12 metal spokes protruding out of the clock face with wooden teak cones to the end. Clock measures 17.5" point to point and the clock face measures 4.5" Clock is in very good cosmetic condition but has not been tested to see if it's working properly. The clock is well made and sturdy with a small dent in one of the arms, takes 1 AA battery, no makers name.
Vintage Mid Century 1950s Atomic coat/hat hooks/rack with 5 different coloured balls in red, orange, green and yellow. Black metal frame with wall fixings. Measures approx 17.5” wide x 8.5" high. In good overall condition with some rust and marks that add character and retro appeal or could be repainted to really bring it to life, a fantastic addition to any vintage and retro home.
VINTAGE BEAUTY/VINTAGE VANITY
Amazing mid century vintage beauty box from Sirram. This is such a beautiful and collectable piece from the 1950s that has never been used. Brown mock skin outer case with gold tone handle and hinged lock. The contents are a gorgeous minty green colour with two hinged compartment lids at the sides. Other contents comprises four ribbed plastic bottles with gold lids, three small ribbed plastic pots with green and gold lids and a gold and green metal pot. The underside of the lid is a full mirror. This is perfect for traveling or a dressing table and would also make a fantastic gift. Outer case measures approx 10” x 6.5”. In original outer cardboard box with Sirram label. Excellent condition.
This is a beautiful vintage dressing table set comprising a handheld mirror, brush and comb. Silver-toned with stunning aqua/turquoise backing. This is lifting a little from the mirror, just degradation of the glue over the years, can be glued back if required. Presented in original brown skin effect box and looks unused. Box measures approx 12.5" x 7" brush 9" long mirror 11" long comb 6.5" long. In good vintage condition.
This is a very beautiful and collectable item that would make a fantastic gift for someone special. Deep brown velvet case in a semi circle shape with two front hinge locks. Inside is a golden lining with a mirror and 10 nail care items including nail files, scissors etc. Case measures approx 10" x 7" and outer box measures approx 10.5" x 7.5". Such an amazing set that looks totally unused. In very good vintage condition.
